This month’s June 2025 DIY Maker’s Box from Sonnet’s Garden Blooms offered so many options to create hot summer projects. In case you are not familiar with this monthly subscription box, it just hit its one year anniversary, and I have been a subscriber since the first box! The Maker’s Box offers exclusive decoupage papers from Roycycled Treasures decoupage Papers and rice papers from The Painted Photographer. It also includes paint colors from DIY Chalk Paint, Fusion Mineral Paint, and Sweet Pickins Milk Paint. Each month offers a new pallet of colors, patterns, and creative inspiration. Can you tell I love it? It is like Christmas arriving on my doorstep each month! We never know what will be in the box, so it is always a true surprise.
Check out the unboxing of the DIY Maker’s Box to see all the contents and then stick around to see the five projects I created here:
The projects I created this month focused heavily on the color blue. I was so inspired by the rich, deep colors of Fusion Mineral Paint’s Midnight Blue and Sweet Pickins Milk Paint’s Navy Blue that I used up both samples in the box right away. Because the paint colors are selected personally by Sonnet (the founder of Sonnet’s Garden Blooms) for this box, they always perfectly match the colors within the decorative papers included in the box. The paint colors Midnight Blue and Navy Blue also worked together in a perfect way, and I was able to use the Fusion Mineral Paint for some touch ups on my Sweet Pickins project.
I hope that you find some inspiration in this box for your own projects! The subscription makes it so easy to create – I don’t have to spend a lot of time trying to match paint colors or coordinating my supplies – it is all there in the box and ready to go! I also have plenty of supplies left over each month, so I have made up to eight projects from just one box! I also appreciate that I am building a stash of high quality paint and paper supplies that can often be used on future projects. It gives me a chance to test out a color or a new technique before investing in a new line of products. I hadn’t tried Sweet Pickins milk paint or Fusion Mineral Paint before being introduced to them in this box, and now I am such a fan of both projects and they have become my staples for any projects I create.
